Software Engineer by training, currently a product management lead and manager of a team of product managers and developer support engineers.

Fell in love with photography when I was in Junior High in the 70's, my mom made me learn everything I could (read Ansel Adams, John Hedgecoe and many others) before she helped me buy my first SLR, an Olympus OM-10FC. That was my camera until 1997 when I made the move to digital with the Olympus D600L (a "ZLR") and then went more compact in 1999 with the Olympus C3030Z and later its brother the Olympus C5050Z.

Moved back to the world of SLR's which I much prefer with the Nikon D70 in May of 2004 with a 70-300 zoom before going to the test launch of SpaceShipOne which later won the X-prize. Some of my pictures from that event and the X-prize competition launch are in my photoset.

Landscapes and macro shots of flowers are my first love, but work limits my opportunity to get out and take pictures so I'm branching out and trying my hand at portraiture, though I know I have much to learn there!
