Paradise Valley Community College, in Phoenix, Arizona, is a Learning Centered College, and is part of the Maricopa County Community College District. For 20 years, PVCC has kept pace with the constant growth of the North Phoenix Valley, offering breadth and depth of educational opportunity, including two-year degree programs, occupational certification programs and noncredit continuing education.

As part of our Capital Development program, we are implementing the EDUCAUSE Learning Spaces www.educause.edu/eli Survey where students, faculty and staff will photograph places on our campus and provide commentary based on the survey questions shown below. We are using Flickr as a way to organize and share these responses.

A note on the photos: Each student was provided with a disposable camera with a built-in flash and twenty-seven exposures (seven more than there are survey questions). Several times, the participants seemed to underestimate how much light they had for their snapshot, hence the many under-exposed (dark) pictures. We used Adobe Photoshop to correct for this as much as possible, but many images were simply not readable. When this happened, we used the "Photo not Available" icon.
