John

Having retired in April, 2009 from the National Park Service after over 35 years as a National Park Ranger, I have a great interest in the National Park System and the outdoors in general, as well as a number of hobbies (see below). I particularly like macro photography of flowers and insects.

I primarily use a Canon PowerShot A590IS camera for my indoor and outdoor work. Some of the shots you see were taken by my late wife Joni, who was a phenomenal photographer, and who I miss so very much. Already suffering with Pulmonary Fibrosis, she succumbed to Covid-19 on April 23, 2020.

I thoroughly enjoy seeing John's (and his other half's) photos on Flickr. The nice thing about John and his photography is that he is full of surprises. John is imaginative, funny, informative and he also takes fabulous photos, which I always look forward to seeing. In addition, he is also a very supportive Flickr friend, one I am delighted to have made friends with. I am a novice myself, so no position to be critical or otherwise. All I know is that I enjoy his photography, his friendship and his supportive comments. It is a real pleasure to have John as a friend (and his other half (smile).Thank you John.

Puzzlers Macros are magnificent. Anyone can take a Macro, but he makes them come to life through his photos. Always a great job and always someone I look forward to seeing pictures from!
