I do not consider myself a great photographer. I am very much a documentary photographer: I click the scenes and happenings I want to remember.

Models

Lately I have done a lot of modelphotography. I am no expert, just exploring that field. The models are mostly students and their friends that I find by word of mouth. Some have experience, for others it is a first time.

The models get paid. After all, they do work. There is no ass-grabbing from my part: They come to do a job and I come to do a job and though with some models I have a closer or friendlier relationship than with others, I keep shoots professional. It is a shoot, not a date. As a physician I do not make a pass at my patients, as a photographer I do not grope my models.

I have learned a lot from fellow Flickrites. One of them is Sir Ossie, glamour photographer extra-ordinaire. He helped me set my first steps on the slippery path to modelphotography.

Contacts

If you want to make me a contact, great. However, if I see that your stream and profile is just and only about porn, wife swapping or your genitals, I may wonder what the added value is and may block you.

Being European, I have no hang-ups about sex but it is not my goal in Flickr. I have absolutely no problems with artfull or tastefull nudity. Beaver shots however, I find boring.

If you are a woman and you show selfportraits. I may make a comment on how you look, besides what I think of the photo. I am a guy and I can't help I am hardwired to admire women. I'll always try to keep that decent though. I may flirt a little with you occasionally but that is all innocent and only indicates I like you as a person (for as far I can tell from Flickr), consider it 'social lubrication'. I am really not out here to find love or to stalk someone and the time that my life was predominantly determined by my hormones is far behind me.

Friends and family

Unfortunately after some ill desired visitors to my stream, I made many of my pictures F&F only

My comments, the dreaded 'Nice', 'great', 'beautiful'

Sometimes I will leave only short comments in your stream, like the dreaded Nice picture. I do that because sometimes I simply like a picture but don't know why I like it and don't want to analyze it to death. It is not because I am hoping for reciprocal visits to my pictures. Though visits and comments are always welcome and appreciated, they are never mandatory, taken for granted or expected.

If for whatever reason my comments or behaviour make you feel uncomfortable: well, I apologize as that is not my intention and I might not even have realized it: sometimes I am very bad at reading social conventions.

I am well over 18 as you may have guessed.

Looking at his buddy icon, I believe that me and Ed come from the same production line. A fellow soul traveller.

Great Produce (deleted)

Ed-MD is a great photographer of people, nature and life. He is quite a thoughtful and skillfully evaluative person, and it comes through in his work and communications. I am glad to know him and I wish him the best.

I always like visiting your stream. You do not have a specific theme and therefore it is always a surprise what will show up next. I truly cherish the pictures you took of me. Thanks 4 all your kind words and encouragement. You are a good photographer and an even better friend

When I hesitantly entered Flickr, I quickly came upon your stream. A question from me resulted in a reply that really hit home. When I hesitantly entered Flickr, I quickly came upon your stream. A question from me resulted in a reply that really hit home. Mails followed and with no trace of judgement you read me like an open book, even on pages that I did not know existed. You have given me great support. I thought Flickr was all about photography, but for me it became all about life itself. You are as multifacetted as your pictures and I am happy to call you a friend.
