I have always had an interest in photography after my Dad made myself & my brother the most photographed kids in our area!
I took an optional course in black & white darkroom photography at college whilst studying for my A Levels and became totally hooked. For my 18th birthday my parents bought me my own basic darkroom set up and I was in heaven! Then I did a media degree and specialised in radio and photography for my final year.
I really miss the smell of darkroom chemicals. Yes I know, I'm weird.
In recent years I have suffered from poor health and am currently battling M.E. and Fibromyalgia as well as recovering from a nasty car crash. This has cut short my photographic opportunities, but I now have an extensive pictoral record of my garden for the past few years!
As part of my rehabilitation, my therapist has encouraged me to once again follow my passion for photography. Although I don't have the most expensive camera in the world and my confidence has taken a battering, I am most happy when I have something to capture. I do love my Panasonic bridge camera though - it's a few years old now but its Leica lens is awesome.
One day I would love to study photography further and maybe get paid for doing something I love!
If anyone wants more information about my pictures then please feel free to contact me. I am trying to throw myself back in to Flickr and update my pics after a couple of years fighting against my body!
Cheers & happy snapping everyone :0D
