When I was 8, I was watching a program called “Donald Duck’s Night”, when I was totally hooked by a moment in which all I could see was the hand of Walt Disney, drawing Mickey Mouse with just a few simple pencil signs, starting from his round eyes.

Since then, I started to learn those Disney’s moves by heart, until I was able to reproduce an almost perfect Mickey Mouse. But I never really liked copying.

So I decided to start from those round eyes, to create my own characters.

The result?

I’ve been drawing Puppacci for 27 years now: strange puppets, weird looking, shy, angry, but always dopy and clumsy. I did this during school lessons, University lessons, and Masters lessons too. I’ve kept drawing them even when I’ve started to work. During meetings, conference calls and seminars.

Probably, I haven’t grown at the same rate my personal Puppacci collection did during the years. So much that I’ve decided I had to give them even more spaceand time. Beyond all the scribbles at the back of my papers.

That’s the reason behind puppacci.com

I hope they can make you smile and always be with you, as they did

with me throughout all these years.
