I am just beginning as a photographer, the camera is a Nikon D200 with a 18-200mm lens at the moment. All of the photos are as is, i don't use filters or modify the photo in photoshop etc...

I am willing to hear any advice you have, so please leave comments.

I have now been taking photos for a bit longer, and got a few more bits in the kit. I now have a 50mm f/1.4 nikon lens, a SB-800 flash unit, and a MC-36 remote timer (for those really long shots), wouldn't mind getting into macro photography so i am eyeing off a 105mm macro lens and a r1c1 macro flash kit (i should get these in a few months once the $$$ are in the bank account) i am also thinking a 12-24mm would make for some really nice landscape shots, but we will have to see.

I am still taking the photos as is, but i now have a polarizing filter, a few ND filters, and a softening filter (doesn't get used much).

I have now got a 12-24mm lens, and a ND400 hoya filter, so keep a eye out for some of those photos.

A couple of months ago now I did my first paid wedding. In the lead up to it to ensure nothing would go wrong and i had some really good lenses i bought a 85mm f/1.8 and a 24mm f/2.8. Both of these lenses are incredible, but i like the 85mm more. The wedding went really well. I know that not all weddings go that smoothly, but it gave my confidence a huge boost.

I finally got my 105mm macro. I now see the world in a whole different light. I really want to get the R1C1 macro kit, but it isn't a need at this point in time. I am considering getting a teleconverter to get a bigger than 1:1 reproduction ratio. That should make for some even better photos.
