I've been following pterodaktyl's photographic career since its inception and have happy memories of his first picture - two booted feet, some wet grass and the bottom strand of a barbed-wire fence. His technique has improved a lot over the years - nowadays he'd probably take his wellingtons off before trying to photograph them - but his work still holds the same warmth and enthusiasm and I always look forward to seeing what's new on his photostream. Pterodaktyl is a clear and generous sharer of knowledge and I'm deeply grateful for all his encouragement and patient tutoring, without which I'd be leading a flickrless existence.
