I've been taking photographs since 5th grade, when my parents gave me a Kodak Pocket Instamatic. In high school I was a photographer for the newspaper and year book, and did a short summer stint as a newspaper photographer. Now, I photograph as I wander and look closer at the more-than-human world. Textures, light, movement, and pattern fascinate me. This connection to light, movement and place extends into my studio practice in animation. I've taught animation for many years, and am exploring the engagement of ecopsychology and enchantivism, two areas of study I've undertaken in the past few years.
