I'm interested in audio and visual expression. I took up photography as a new hobby in December 2021. I'm trying to learn about landscape photography, street photography, and night photography (and sports photography, to take pictures of my sons and their teams). Haven't got a lot to show yet, and the photos have numerous technical defects, but it's work in progress, and most importantly, I enjoy taking photos and learning from seeing other's beautiful work! I'm trying to use the technical aspects in the service of expressing something, sometimes a story, sometimes just something visually pleasing. I'm interested happy to have comments, so feel free to go and explore my pictures! :)

I am careful to be respectful of the subjects' privacy, and so for street photography I check the legislation in vigor in the place where I'm shooting. In Spain, there are limitations on photographing people, as their consent is required if their face is visible and identifiable (unless the picture serves informative purposes). Hence, many of my pictures depict people photographed from behind, in silhouette, or blurred, unless the person gives me consent for the photo to be taken and uploaded here, or the local legislation allows me to photograph people in public places. The legislation in Spain is a limitation for street photography, as it makes photographing spontaneous moments difficult. In the UK and some other countries, photographing anybody is allowed in public spaces. Even in such countries, I photograph people to show them in a good light, illustrate moments of daily life, and do not photograph people in unflattering situations.
