My love affair with technology and art began 45 years ago when I created multi-screen shows run by a computer for large audiences. It was called multi-image. I saw that the computer was going to be a new medium and wrote two books in the early nineties about programming multimedia experiences and using new software tools to create music, animation and three dimensional worlds ("Multimedia Creations" and "3D Modeling Lab"). Those books launched my career creating interactive computer games and theater experiences in museums and science centres around the world. About ten years ago I picked up a pencil and began the long, arduous task of teaching myself to create images using traditional tools. Then Procreate came along and I dived into digital art. The latest evolution is AI art. I am using it as a tool in my digital tool set. I use it like Norman Rockwell used photography, to explore different scenarios that I want to use to create a story. It is the most revolutionary tool since the invention of photography. The challenge is to use it as a creative tool. Not simply a beautiful picture, rather something that explores new art forms.
