I am a boring person. Amateur in photography.

Prefers film, but not the cost. Likes digital, but not the weight.

I only like photos that convey an emotion or thought to me.

I don't like photos that are nothing but of women in various insinuating poses.

I think photography is more than mere fantastic equipment. I have seen photos that are perhaps not very well-taken, but the composition makes me sigh. I have also seen photos that are very well-taken, but it is flat and dull and says nothing other than the vanity of the photographer. I know of people with fantastic equipment belonging to both categories, and also of people with simple point-n-shoot camera too.

I also dislike overly photoshopped or cropped photos. That becomes digital art. It sullies the essence of true, original photography.

Photography is an art. It cannot be instilled in a person, although one can learn to appreciate it. But then again, art is subjective.

Maybe I am too narrow-minded. But everyone else is, too.

People in the painfully bright hall

spoke about religion

in the life of modern man

and about God's place in it.

People spoke in excited voices

like at airports.

I left them:

I opened an iron door over which was written

"emergency" and I entered into

a great tranquility: questions and answers.
