This is the official Flickr account of the province of Fryslân, also known as Friesland (the Netherlands).

Fryslân has a population of around 640.000 distributed over 31 municipalities. Each municipality has its own administrative body, the Municipal Council, elected by its inhabitants. In addition to the 31 Municipal Administrations, Fryslân also has a Provincial Administration, which has its seat in the Province Hall in Leeuwarden.
