As for me: I have been a Tour Manager, Production Manager and Live Sound Engineer since 1990. I travel a hell of a lot and still enjoy the travel (most of the time) after all these years.

I also practice Ashtanga yoga. I like it enough that I went to India 5 winters in a row. I taught a little and continue to study and practice as often as I am able to.

As a result, I have been a traveller who spent many years with little inspiration to visually record my journeys. Its not that I didn't want to do it, I just kept forgetting to do something about it. Then flickr came along just after I bought my first point and shoot and the rest is history. Sometimes I only get a few hours in a particular place, which is the unfortunate part of my job. With this in mind and time permitting, I do my best to get some alone time in with my camera wherever I go.

Now I have some inspiration (namely everyone at flickr), things are very different around here... Its become incredibly fun, and takes me away to a VISUAL place when I have been trained artistically as a MUSICAL person. In the end, its a way to get away from work even while 'at' work.

Its also a way to share HOW I see the places I get to, though you can never quite get that bit right can you?
