FYI: my buddy icon is a picture of the character Donald Draper from the TV show Mad Men.

For me, photography is a way to combine my geeky self (academic computer geek) and my artsy self (drawing, painting). I like all kinds of photography, but right now I'm mostly in to portraits (both formal with strobe lighting, and candid with natural light) and street photography. I'm fairly new to flickr, but am learning a lot from other people's work.
