I am originally (as they say in the South) from Columbia, South Carolina, but now make my home in the Western North Carolina mountains. After retiring from 30 years as an ordained pastor within the Presbyterian Church (USA), and 16 years as a counselor, administrator, and teacher for one of the colleges in the North Carolina Community College System, I now spend my time exploring the forested mountains near my home, delving into various creative projects, writing, and photography.

Nature gives us art every day in the way blades of grass bend with one another, in the opening or closing of a seed pod, in the color-striations of rocks, in the myriad of textures offered by the plants and minerals all around us. In everything I create, I draw my core inspirations from the wealth of nature's own creative articulations.

My abstract art (Photo-Alchemy™) is created using photos of nature which are manipulated to bring out innate textures and colors which are just waiting to be discovered!
