Greetings!
Let me explain: I am not an artist.
When I was a child, I carried a screw-driver in my pocket, in case I came across anything that needed, um, taking apart. When my daughter was a child, she would only eat half her meal so she'd have material for her plate sculptures. Ergo, I am an engineer, she is an artist. Having said that, I do have a right-brain, and it wants to come out to play.
Most of my previous work has been landscape, a hard habit to break. (Olympus OM-1/2, Zuiko 50mm, 28mm, various tele's.)
Now, however, I've become very interested in portraiture and "other stuff." Thanks to you all for sharing!
I currently use a Nikon D70, Canon S100, Olympus OM-2, a Fujifilm XP70, and an iPhone, not necessarily in that order. :-)
The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking - and looking.

Preston is a true Southern Gentleman, and I'm proud to call him my friend. Through his photography, we are graciously invited into his world to experience it as he does, through his morning runs, vacations, and just plain gallivanting around Texas. He has a beautiful wife and daughters and when I see the love these two have for one another ..... it almost (almost) makes me want to believe in love again ... almost. ;)) Thank you, Preston for your encouragement and your friendship. May life always hand you it's best! xo!
