Photography has always been a passion, one that I prefer to enjoy rather than take to seriously. I prefer to have fun, as a result I end up with some really great shots of the simplest things.

Alex and I had our first baby, a son in 2007 and we named Nicolaus 'Nico' Tanner Small. Our second boy was born 17 months later, Zachary Prescott Small.

We have been enjoying being parents more than we ever thought we could.

We have lived in our dream home on 6 acres for several years now, have our own stocked fishing pond, and our back yard is like walking in a state park in East Texas with several small trails to walk that are all abundant with wildlife to photograph and enjoy on a daily basis. We have turned 5.5 of our 6 acres into wildlife habitat restoration and are certified and registered with the World Wildlife Fund for doing so. We have been working to eradicate invasive plant species and re-introducing a wider variety of native plants to attract more animals. We see so many varieties of birds, snakes, frogs, spiders, turtles, deer, amphibians like Salamanders and Water Dogs that it can be surprising what we see. Almost every warm day there is something new to spot. We even have two endangered species of native Texas orchids that bloom here by the thousands now every single spring.

I have the most wonderful princess for my wife and two of the best kids any parent could ever hope for. Life is good.
