Artist bio:

Jessica Prell has always had a passion for catharsis through creativity. She has spent years writing poems, creative short stories, and songs. Much of her songs are written about love, heartache and the incontestable relationship between the two. Her musical performances are infused with a sincere vulnerability adjoined by a tender confidence and awareness. This artistry is succeeded in her paintings. In the summer of 2010, Jessica picked up her first paintbrush and immediately fell in love with the craft. Although she has never been formally trained in the theory or practice of fine art, she expresses herself organically on canvas, depicting an authentic relationship between love, heartache, and the struggle to discover herself through these sentiments. Her paintings are intriguing on account that there is a juxtaposition of pain and whimsy. Her outlook, that the deterioration of the heart can be shared with the hope and vision of healing, is shared with us by this quality.
