I am an ex sheep farmer from the Western District of Victoria, Australia where we used to run 14,500 head of fine wool Merino sheep.

I have lived in Grovedale a suburb of Geelong (since 1982), which is about a hours drive from Melbourne Victoria. Just north of Geelong there is a large water treatment plant that services a large section of Melbourne this area is about 19,000+ acres in size. One of the biggest Bird Watching areas in Australia, and within half an hour from home and one place I spend a lot of time. I have followed the birds for 50 years and in 2014 thought that I had better start to document my sitings, now that I have started I cannot get enough. The cameras are never far from hand when travelling the Country or overseas.

I have now retired and hope to travel more and continue the dream.
