My first SLR was an eastern European brand called Praktica. Like my mum, I love taking photographs and fell in love with everything to do with photography. In the days when 35mm was expensive, I used to make my own prints in a dark-room - coming out smelling of chemicals. Today the darkroom has been replaced by adobe and adjustments and refinements are quicker to make, but take longer to master. (I tried shading the monitor with my hand to bring out the contrast, but nothing seemed to happen).

Enjoy whatever I put on here, a little window into my world. I believe that pictures say a lot, not only of the subject, but of the photographer - and that's what I find interesting about flickr. Give me your every-day shots anytime, but I'd love to develop artistic expression through photography.
