Dear Fellow Ymer’s,

Sorry it took me sooo long to respond to some of you.

I NEVER DREAMED so many people would be interested in my wire trees…..my caricatoon cartoon artwork, my clay painting and my creative rototilling (I KNOW that sounds weird).

Instead of responding to SO many people individually about the same items, I have decided to make one of my websites available to my fellow members ONLY.

I am a middle school art teacher. This career has been my primary love and vocation for the past 31 yrs.

I always felt my options for exploring art were limited by being “force fed” traditional art cirriculum all of MY school life

.

As a teacher I learned to share my greatest passion, INVENTING ART PROJECTS.

Among the the various projects I have invented are the wire trees, clay painting, spray painting on plexi-glass, cartooning, puzzles, moveable art, video art/claymation, digital art photo and software applications……..and many more.

Over the years I developed a format/community of learning with my students that emphasizes: EXPRESSING ONES’ BASIC HUMAN NEEDS THROUGH ART, A COMMUNITY OF LEARNING THAT EMPHASIZES QUALITY OF IDEA AND EFFORT OVER THE EMPHASIS ON SKILL DEVELOPMENT. A COMMUNITY THAT INCLUDES RATHER THAN EXCLUDES INDIVIDUAL CREATIVE EXPRESSION.

That said, I have sold much of my work over the years, but it was always by “word of mouth” and it seemed no two jobs were ever the same. How does one advertise this even if one wanted too? That in addition to not really having time as a teacher to fill the demands of what people wanted me to make for them.

Now I am within two years of retirement and FINALLY I can make and if I want, sell my work.

The responses I have been receiving from this opportunity to advertise what I do through YMMSS has blown me away. PLEASE be patient I didn’t expect all of this interest. If you want to buy something from me, we must negotiate a price because I can not mass produce.

And I am NOT business woman. I make art.
