Powerline64 has a talent for bringing out the beauty that can be found in both the human and natural environments. Power lines, especially those of the lower transmission and sub-transmission voltages, have a unique appeal. They do not overpower the natural surroundings but yet draw the attention of the observer. Also, the old-style wooden poles with porcelain and glass insulators have a very pleasant appearance. Furthermore, I like the wide vistas and cloudscapes of the North American plains and intermountain west. The greatest challenges to photographing electrical structures is composition and the distortion due to the use of telephoto lenses.
