My photography has only recently evolved from "family event photographer" to "pretty/interesting stuff photographer".

I've been blessed to have served as a missionary on several trips to Africa (Democratic Republic of Congo) and South America (Amazon River basin) and I intend on uploading the best of those collections.

For now, I'm beginning to notice the difference in my photography and what I consider phenominal photography - I guess Flickr calls it "interesting" photography.

Macro photography of flowers has been the bridge from just taking pictures at holidays/vacations/birthdays to actually trying to make photographs with artistic merit. Capturing an event is different than capturing a thing. The best photography captures both.
