My name is Tim Scott and I am a gallery photographer who has spent a lot of time traveling in the course of my work. During these trips, I have become interested in the transition from childhood to adulthood every single human goes through and have started a project that I hope you will be interested in participating in for a chance to be published.

In a nutshell, I am looking for any and all photos by teens between the ages of 13-19 taken BY you, but not OF you.

I am looking for submissions that tell a story about what it is like to be you, your interests, your fears, your hopes, etc.

Accompanying your photo, I ask for a short "story" or explanation about what the photo means to you, why you took it, what you think about when you look at it... something like that. The idea is to share experiences of being a teen because you are the best at documenting your lives and your struggles.

If I still have your attention, since the internet is so full of people trying to get your attention, I hope you will take the time to visit the site just set up Postcards From Youth, read the blurb (hopefully in your language), check out the terms which will hopefully answer some questions you have about privacy and what the whole thing is about, and respond with questions, concerns, or a full blown declaration that you will help me find stories to share. On the site, your submissions will be linked back to your Flickr account if you so desire.

 

Examples of topics we are looking for are the spectrum from friends, community, school and culture.
