I'm getting back into 'proper' photography after a few years of point and click laziness. I just received a Nikon D40 from Santa and added a 50mm f/1.8 for a bit of manual focus challenge.
I learned the basics of film SLR a long (long) time ago at high school and have forgotten most of it. Big numbers mean wee holes, fast film for slow shutters. Whoever came up with this stuff didn't make it easy...
What you can expect from me is a lot of blurry pictures and badly composed images. Any advice or pointers would be very welcome.
I have a battered old Minolta SLR and managed to get a few decent pictures from it but the ratio of good shots to crap was too high. My pointy / clicky camera is a Casio Exilim and I have a Lomo for those 'shoot from the hip' moments. You might see some images from them later.
