Poppelus has a great talent at looking at a crowd and finding the most interesting characters, but not only that, he has the talent to photograph them very well in all sorts of light. You almost get a sense of what the person is about based on a simple portrait. Pretty amazing stuff. He also is quite humble about his skills which is a rarity and always willing to conversate about technique and methods. I have learned a lot from him both from viewing his stream and from direct conversations.

Pops is one of the most creative photographers on flickr. He is always innovating, creating and trying out different things. He recently started a very ambitious project called “One thousands faces of London”, and in a few months he has managed to put together a fantastic set. He is also a charming guy with a superb sense of humor. BTW, he also has endless energy, so don’t forget to eat well if you ever decide to go with him on a photowalk (nothing will make him stop) :) .

When I see his pictures I fall in love with the human race through his eyes.
