Needed a hobby/interest as I was living in a concrete block in Sydney's Inner West and was limited for space and places to go. Photography seemed like the best fit as it can be done indoors and outdoors and you don't have to travel too far to get a great shot.

Picked up my first DSLR 4 years ago just before a trip to Japan and haven't looked back. I like to shoot alsorts of photos as I get bored with just one type.

I now live on NSW South Coast and its superb for all things photographic!
