Enthusiastic amateur. I took a lot of photo's 35 yrs ago, then the children came along so the photo bag, SLR and lenses got put to one side in preference to small compact cameras. The children don't fit into the push chairs any more and so I have returned to photography. Slides have gone away now and are replaced with memory cards and computers. I restarted 10 years ago and I am now on on my third Canon DSLR (5D Mk iii) and also have a selection of L Series lenses from 8mm to 400mm. I used to use Adobe Photoshop, but having been ripped off by those fine folks at Adobe and lost use of most of the applications I used to use for 6 years while they try to push everyone over to subscription based software, I now use Affinity Photo (which is worth a look if you are unaware of it, and only costs around £49), and Adobe Lightroom 5 (discontinued now). I build websites for charities and not for profit groups in the UK these days, and photography skills have come in handy for photoshoots for websites, and adding images to websites. I extensively shoot in RAW, and use digital processing to get the best of shots depending on what I am looking for. I very seldom use an off the camera JPG.
