I am an Japanese-American avatar in Second Life. I am Geisha Mishiori (beautiful poem weaver) and Librarian for Amatsu Shima. I participate in group performances and help with projects such as the Kiku Gallery. Amatsu holds tea entertainments, special festivals and events, classes, and art shows.
Amatsu geisha enjoy attending events at other Second Life Okiya, and participating in the greater geisha community in Second Life.
I also serve as Assistant at the Shin Tao Haiku Retreat, where we study haiku and other poetry. We arrange poetry contests and art exhibits. At Shin Tao Haiku Retreat, there is a Library of Haiku and always two ongoing art exhibits. Amatsu and Shin Tao have a special relationship.
I participate in other groups such as the Unitarian Universalist Church of Second Life, the Humanist Group, Covenstead, and so on.
Sometimes I appear as a child, and attend events of Second Life Children.
The story shown on flickr begins when I was a small girl and began studying at the Amatsu Okiya. I ultimately became a teenage Minarai, then a young Maiko. Finally I became Geisha; my erikae (graduation ceremony) was held at the Shin Tao Haiku Retreat.
