It's hard to realise that a year ago Polly did little more than take the occasional holiday snap. All the time, there was a quite wonderful talent completely unrecognised, untapped and just awaiting the opportunity to literally blossom. I've watched her grow from someone who glazed over when I tried to explain about apertures and depth of field, to someone who can't bear to move without her camera and who captures the most wonderful images, seemingly without effort. It is my privilege to know her and be able to call her my dearest friend. She has enriched my life with her encouragement, her positive criticism and her wonderful photographs. She is quite special and a wonderful asset to the flickr community.

I must say, having Polly as a friend is one of the best things ever happent to me, here on Flickr. She always comments on my photos and now and then she writes a mail just to say HI or to follow up on some things from the last korrespondence. Her photos are always a pleasure to look at. They can both be funny and pretty. Polly knows photography can be fun and not just a competition. I have the impression that Polly always has her camera with her. We have seen photos from other countries, gardens, inside the house and her own garden. I allways look forward to see what Polly postes next...
