What can I say about Poko that has not already been said? Recently, I had the privilege of working with and photographing Poko. She has an exemplary personality, a loving, kind, patient woman that always somehow finds time to help anyone that may ask for it. She is an advocate for the growth and development of everyone she comes in contact with in a virtual realm that sometimes seems devoid of generosity. Poko is beyond masterful at her craft, an artist in a league all her own. She sees beauty in EVERYTHING and everyone and most importantly vocalizes it. She does not hand out empty compliments and when she sees an opportunity for a person to improve, she approaches it with dignity, grace, patience, and the utmost respect for her peers. I am so incredibly fortunate to know her and am for sure a better artist because of her. She is not only an artist, a peer, she is a sister, a teacher, a critic of the best kind, and above all else she is sincere. It is easy to adore her because she is so open and sincere. You can feel the warmth of her spirit and when you are lucky enough to get close enough, you will be awe stricken by the intimacy of working with her to catch a glimpse of the world through her eyes in a way that the canvas cannot portray. I met Poko quite by chance in the JunkYard in SL. At the time at If-What-If (a technology firm in VR & AI) we were looking for a reliable and great SL photographer. TBH, it took me a day or so to get up enough courage to approach her. I looked at her Flickr, and though we cannot use nudes in our articles or videos, it was immediately apparent Poko had an exceptional talent for what she does. We have now used her photos continuously in our articles and videos, which appear on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo just to name a few. She only knows two of us in the company, but every single person who works for us is astounded by her photography. I did not expect it, but a friendship grew between us, and I discovered she is not only an incredible artist, but an incredible person as well. You cannot go wrong with Poko. Always a kind word, always a smile, and of course, always a brat! Incredible talent from an exceptional person.
