I am a born again Christian first and foremost. I love Nature, and especially mountains. Being a descendant of Scottish Highlanders, I am at home and in peace in the mountains, most notably my home range the Great Smoky Mtns. in my native Tennessee. I am also a transcendentalist, and I believe Mother Earth is a living being. John Muir, and his writings have had a huge impact on the way I see, experience, and photograph Nature. I am also a disciple of sorts of Ansel Adams. My gear consists of a Nikon D7000, Nikon D80 DSLRS, Nikkor 70-210mm, 18-70mm lenses, SIGMA 80-400mm VR lens, a carbon fiber tripod, remotes for time exposures, many filters, and high speed, large capacity memory cards. I like to shoot RAW. I've been composing images for over thirty years, most of which were done using Kodachrome 64 slide film. For the past four years I've done everything with the D80. Thanks for your visits and comments, but I am most interested in knowing exactly what you think when you see one of my images. Your constructive criticism is always welcomed, so please feel free to speak your mind. Thanks again, and God bless : )

I have known Patrick for nearly a year after seeing some of his photos taken at Yellowstone NP. He is a talented photographer and with the majority of his photos taken whilst hiking in the mountains we get to see images from a different perspective (not the usual tourist view). By shooting in RAW we then get to see his processing skills and I expect many of his images do not make it onto flickr which is a shame. He always has time to comment on your photos and with his Scottish blood likes nothing more then a classic Scottish view along with the history of the image. I look forward to seeing many more fantastic images and his continuing friendship.
