I am amazed at the emotional quality of many photographers' works. I mostly look for more information on their profile page which is mostly empty. So I decided I better start by writing a decent profile about myself.

We live in light, colors, movement, time... and I enjoy it!

Started photography as a teenager in the 80s mostly shooting young women on the street, my brothers and landscapes in B&W. I had the luck to mess around with a Nikon F3 and printed the images myself. I loved staying alone in the bathroom for hours experiencing the magic of the sudden appearance of the photographs. One day, I will post some of those pictures.

Later on, I concentrated more on my other 'love of my life'. I play double bass, mostly in Jazz settings, and started a music collective. I left my camera in its bag for some times but kept collecting pictures and photo books.

I feel the need to focus more on photography, by taking pictures, discovering new and past photographers, visiting exhibitions, collecting prints and photo books, talking to photographers about their work, discussing the relationship between the model and the photographer that is required to make a thrilling shot, improve my skills, ... Flickr is nice for this as it allows to grow by watching other people's work and making connections with them.

Keep your eyes and heart open in all circumstances.
