This Flickr site will include images of over 11,000 specimens in the minerals collection housed at UBC's Pacific Museum of Earth (PME). See also roughly 640 "suites" of economic minerals photographed in their open storage drawers. Search the PME economic minerals page for details.

Located in the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of British Columbia, we maintain three small but engaging exhibition galleries (including several full size dinosaur skeletons). We also run visitor programming for public and schools with corresponding online resources covering geology, atmospheric science, oceanography, environmental sciences, geological engineering, and planetary science. Our goal is to engage, excite, and educate students, faculty, staff and the public (youths, families and teachers) about the Earth and topics of environmental, economic, and societal importance.
