I'm the family historian and this site is specifically for sharing the family tree with anyone interested.

Harry D. Burns born 1862, died 1943

married

Alberta M. Seward born 1872, died 1931

birthed

Walter S. Burns (Pappy) and 3 sisters

Walter Seward Burns, born 1897, died 1950 married

Melva Moore Rogers, born 1897, died 1990

whose parents (or grandparents) were Clarence Rogers who married

Anne Roberts Rogers

(I have another document that says

Sarah Moore is Clarence's wife)

Melva had one sister Mabel.

Melva Rogers and Walter Burns

birthed Stanley R. Burns

(brothers or sisters?)

who married Dorothy M. Swigert.

They gave birth to Larry, Don, Tom and Jim, who are all in the mid 50's to mid 60's. We'll get to the new generation later though.

Dorothy Mary Swigert, born 1919,

and her sister Beth (I'll get to Beth's

family in the future too) were born to

Dorothy Helen Holmes

born 1896, died 1980

and Clyde Franklin Swigert

born 1893, died 1979.

Dorothy Helen Holmes parents were

Thomas Holmes (born in England) and

Estella Barlow Holmes,

born 1872, died 1961,

(who later remarried a S, Warren Randall). She had one brother, Harold, a photographer whose studio burned in 1955, destroying everything.

Thomas Holmes parents were

William Holmes and Jane Prince.

Estella Barlow's parents were

James Barlow, born March 12, 1840

at Chorton on Medlock, Lancashire, England. Lived in Flushing, Mi in the 1850's and 1860's and died in Oscoda, Michigan Nov. 23, 1916. Buried in Oscoda Cemetary. Married Sarah G. Holester on May 9th, 1870 at Au Sable, Michigan. I have family reunion photos in Au Sable from the Barlow clan.

James Barlow's parents were

Edwin Barlow, born in 1817

in county Lancaster, England,

probably at Manchester,

and was a son of James Barlow,

a blacking maker of Manchester.

He and his family came to the

United States in 1848 and

settled at Flushing, Genesee County, Michigan, where he was recorded

as a laborer in the 1850 census.

He died on February 26, 1893,

at the age of 76 at Flushing and was

buried there in the Flushing Cemetary.

Edwin Barlow married his first wife

Harriet Bacon Matley on April 30, 1839,

in the Manchester Cathedral at Manchester. She was born in 1821 in England and was a daughter of Jonathan Matley, a green grocer. Edwin and Harriet Barlow, and their sons James and John, were recorded living at Jenkinson Street, Chorlton on Medlock, Manchester, England, in the 1841 census.

Apparently Edwin and Harriet separated

in the 1850's and they probably soon

divorced as she was recorded as

Hannah Matley in a later census.

Clyde Swigerts parents

married in 1889

George Lemon Swigert,

born 1867, died 1941 and

Mary Elizabeth Baird Swigert,

born 1866, died 1946.

They had 5 boys.

Clyde Franklin, born 1889, died 1979,

Harry B, born 1891,

John Lemon, born 1895, died 1977,

Clarence Joseph, born 1897, died 1964,

(Frederick) Chester, born 1900.

Mary Elizabeth Baird's parents appear to be

Mary Baird, born 1846, died 1907 and

John Baird, born 1838, died 1903.

George Lemon Swigert's father was Joseph L. Swigert. I have a photo of Joseph with his sons or grandsons too. This would be my great, great, great grandfather?
