My photography had never been anything more than grabbing my camera for days out or holidays and aiming to get the best holiday snaps I can. Nothing arty, nothing talented, just a bit of careful framing with some half decent equipment.
But in 2008 I started to get more interested in photography. With encouragement from a local landscape pro I started thinking more about it and shooting RAW as well as expanding the range of kit I used and the way I looked at photography. I was just starting to develop this when a dramatic and life changing couple of years in 2009-10 altered the course of my life significantly. I continued to build on my photography, concentrating on classic buildings and ruins for a few years but a few years later I started a family which has required me to scale back my photography. I've now put a little more effort into digital videos (though I post those elsewhere) but having a young family means they must come first so now I just get to do what I can and most of what I post comes from family days out, though I don't generally share pictures of people.
