It's not quite as bad as going to the dentist, writing one of these profiles, but it's always tough. I'll start with the easy stuff. I'm 54 years old. I have a degree in graphic design from Oregon State and have been working in graphics, marketing communication, and marketing for 29 years.

I got my first camera in 1983. It was an Olympus OMG. I took lots of vacation pictures and some were good but in the days of film, experimentation was too expensive. I got my first digital camera in 1992. It was a funky Canon RC-570

It was being here on Flickr, and getting inspired by Emily Sandifer, Greg-0, Konejita, Jesse Estes, Miles Morgan, Gary Randall, and others, that got me working on becoming a better photographer. I have a long way to go but I'm working at it. Any comments that you have are appreciated.

I'm an expert at Photoshop, having worked much of every day since 1992 in app. I offer up my counsel to any of my friends here and am always happy to provide tips or even color adjust a picture.

I love to travel and have been to all 50 states and 22 countries.
