While it's true that a picture can paint a thousand words, we've decided that we'd all prefer it if you used this little text box.

No sorry, screaming "deranged" a thousand times in a row isn't quite the same thing. Thanks for the uploads though.

P.S. The original "Plastic Camera" was a Canon SX130, which was released with some minor design flaws, such as the ever popular permanently self destruct on a lottery basis if it crashes with the lens extended feature, or the deliberately limited to medium quality JPEG innovation. Although that one I can understand because I immediately stuck CHDK on it, put it in RAW mode and discovered that "HIgh ISO" was basically 200. Go over that and your pics will have a noise to signal ratio. I bought it on E-Bay direct from Canon with a full warranty for about £50. Which should have tipped me off really, since they were undercutting literally ever other used auction despite being refurbished and guaranteed. Last time I checked they still were. Which was handy because I got a generous part exchange on it for an EOS 350D. By the way I'm pretty sure all the worst issues have been fixed now (although CHDK is no longer developed for it due to fears that it may have been the cause, and also because all the developers models broke). It did have excellent image stabilisation though, and could go down to about 1/40000 sec at least with flash sync based on my tests. If you're interested in those areas I would suggest you just write to Canon and ask nicely - I suspect they're so desperate to get rid of all the returned stock you might get lucky. Although you might get unlucky instead and end up with 50 of them.

I've still got my old Powershot A700 though, it always produced better shots than the SX130 and I need something to run CHDK on.
