I am a desert artisan, multi-instrumentalist, innovator and creator of sustainable musical instruments. I was born in Hamburg (Germany), in a globetrotting musicians family and from a very young age I was infected with the curiosity to discover new cultures. The impressions of countless trips to places like Ibiza, Turkey and more than 10 countries on the African continent have shaped me for life. A multicultural background that awakened in me a passion for Photography and social activism as a founding member of our family NGO with projects in Malawi, Eswatini and Ethiopia.

Starting off with a couple of NIKON analog SLR cameras, in the 1980's I discovered B&W photography developing my pictures in my own laboratory. In 1993 I left the greenest City of Germany and settled in the most arid area of Europe, in Almería (Spain), where I discovered the unique "wood of the desert", obtained from the Agave plant.

The creation of my very first ‘Timbe Drum’ was the beginning of a great passion and a long journey pictured in my photography in order to promote music created from nature and highlight the infinite possibilities that Agave offers to change lives around the globe.
