my days are getting so much shorter

giving me less of yesterdays tomorrow today

earlier and earlier the cold blue sky

slides it's color across the now hard ground

much to my ill-fated dismay

and when the sun falls down

in the quickly darkening sky

my hopeful disposition fades away

and yet no true sadness breaks my thoughts

because of those teeny tiny pills

and as much as i'd like to leave

for dawns and dreams and an endless reprieve

that's just not something you can do

so todays tomorrow will be quite a challege

to accomplish something and anything new

before the sun gives up on me

leaving me alone and way past due
