I love taking pics. I am not biased towards one camera because it is just a hobby. I have a few different point and shoots and a Nikon D3100 with a gaggle of lenses. My photos are from a variety of cameras (including my phone) but I prefer my DSLR. As I said... not particularly biased to the equipment, I just like to try and take good pics.

If you decide to leave comments, please know that I appreciate any constructive criticism. Also please know that if the picture isn't the greatest, I know it. Most likely, I posted it because of the meaning behind my taking it or the specific moment I captured (like my fat cat or my niece belly-flopping on my stepson). I am not a professional and photography is a hobby that truly makes me happy. Anything that will help me get better is much appreciated :)

Favorite Pics I've Taken:

One of the famous beams at Antelope Canyon in Arizona.

A windmill on the Navajo Reservation in northern Arizona.

A sand "skiier" at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve in Colorado. I still am surprised this shot turned out as it did.

I tried taking Christmas Card pictures of my sons this past fall. This was one of my results...

Boys will be Boys II

We went canoeing at the local state park. The boys were standing in the water, waiting for us to launch the canoe. They did not know I was taking this pic, which I think adds a lil' something.

Waiting

Two of my sons on a picnic table at Willow River State Park in Hudson, Wisconsin. They were pretending to sleep after our long hike, when they opened their eyes and acted surprised just when I was going to get them. The result... Priceless!

I love black and white photos. This one was at Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park, La Push, Washington. I fell in love with that beach. The driftwood and ocean and mist... I loved it. I wish it would have been a little lighter out, but maybe next time!

Looking back

And last but not least, my fat cat. He tends to pose like an extremely overweight man, which never ceases to amuse me. His pictures are never that great because he looks so awkward, but they make me smile :)
