A PhD student who takes photos in his spare time, mainly when on holiday.

Using a Canon EOS 500D, mainly with the bog standard 18-55 mm kit lens, and also with the 'nifty fifty' 1.8. Hopefully at some point I'll get some better glass, but that might be some time.

I'm a big fan of post processing and I touch up pretty much every photo I take nowadays. I'm also keen on high dynamic range work, and hopefully I have a good balance between moderate and extreme processing in my stream.

Software I use: Photoshop CS, Adobe Lightroom, Photomatix Pro, GIMP.

My wish list:

At the moment I think I want a wide angle lens, somewhere in the region of 10-20 mm, but it also needs to be quite fast. I suppose I should start saving now....
