Well, first off, I'm human. Which says a lot and includes a whole heap of contradictions, relationships, attachments, idea's, places, times and events.

I was born in South Africa, which will always be home - a land of struggle and triumph, a land of history and a bright bright future, a land so full of contradiction, yet single minded in it's pursuit of all things achievable and passionate...

I'm also inspired by the many ways we each see our world, and I love being able to catch a split second of time and in my own way immortalise it, give it some sense of permanence, cause once that moment is gone, it's gone for good.

Flickr gives me a chance to show my tribute to impermanence and marvel at how others choose to show their immortalisations. And I’m always so fascinated at how we each so vividly and uniquely catch those things.

I'm a fan I guess therefore of the visual interpretation of a moment and how that reflects the very clichéd thousand words, but also the thousand words we use to reflect ourselves.
