When it comes to taking pictures, I guess I've never really cared much about setting up "the perfect shot." Call me weird, but I like the blurry shots, the off-center or unintentionally captured subjects, and just about any photo most would immediately discard. And that's not just lip service to excuse an otherwise crappy photo. I genuinely like and appreciate it all, for one reason or another.

Sure, nothing compares to experiencing something with your own eyes, but I simply enjoy the point and shoot aspect of being able to share one perspective of the moment with others. If the shots turn out, that's merely the icing on an already marvelous cake.

"When you see such photos, you can't help but wonder at just how sweet and sad and innocent all moments of life are rendered by the tripping of a camera's shutter, for at that point the future is still unknown and has yet to hurt us, and also for that brief moment, our poses are accepted as honest." - Douglas Coupland
