Bill was one of the very first people who welcomed me to Flickr, and he has been a fantastic friend to me ever since. He comments thoughtfully every day, and he's helped make Cozy Corner my Flickr "home" :0) His landscapes are probably the most beautiful on Flickr, and not just because he lives in the paradise that is Wales--his eye and his attention to detail make every photo incredible, and memorable. Bill has been my Flickr friend for over a year now. He comes into your life as a warm and wonderful presence and stays there in exactly that same manner. Though you meet him without ever shaking hands or really hugging, you sense the warmth and sincerity... and trust him. You learn to love his life and family as if they were your own relatives and to care for them. He lives in a land of adventure and magic, but I believe he is the true wizard. What he brings to photography is not measured in pixels or clarity or tones or composition... although all of that is professionally present. He beckons you into his world with scenes that I thought were lost with overpopulation and "progress". I feel like I'm stepping into a different land full of clean air and farmland and rivers and bridges built by the hand of man... and gentle people living life at a slower, less hectic pace. His photography and words welcome you with a robust hug that always leave you coming back for more. Don't take my word for it... walk through his photos and by all means, view each one in the large size. It is well worth the effort. Whatever kind of day you are having, his photography will make it better. I'm honored to be a friend of Bill's and love the cozy community he has created.

However, it wasn't long before I discovered that Bill is so much more than a talented photographer. He has a great imagination, a special ability to see dragons, a sense of humour, and perhaps most importantly, a warm and friendly manner. Wow, where to even begin with so much to write about. When I first seen one of Pixellie's images a few months back, I was totally placed in fairytale land. The image was like no other I had ever seen. Little did I know that this would continue along with a wonderful friendship, the world that he shares with us is captured and posted in most unique way. He presents to us a land that is of rolling green hills, full of so much beauty and light. Seeing his world thru his eyes has been not only incredible, but an inspiration.
