Pit′•chū•kä, a childhood onomatopoeia based on the word “picture” for the sound an Olympus OM1 SLR camera makes when taking a photograph where Pit′ = mirror lift and stop, chū = shutter curtain slide and kä = mirror release and return.

Biz Travel: There’s a common misperception that business travel is some exotic trip. The reality is the traveler must take the cheapest seats on the cheapest flights at the most inconvenient times to arrive at the cheapest hotels all to get stuck in meeting rooms that look amazingly similar to the ones left back home.
This type of travel rarely leaves time to stop and contemplate the sights along the way. The cheap hotel, airport and airplane are the only consistent places the business traveler has a chance for quiet contemplation of the beauty that surrounds them. This photostream chronicles those travels.
Usual business travel camera equipment:
Nikon P5100 camera
Nikon WC-E67 wide angle lens converter
Nikon SB600 flash
Nikon SC-28 remote flash cable
R/C Sailplanes: This is my compensating activity for being stuck on cheap flights, in cheap hotel rooms and in windowless conference rooms. It's a fabulous way to spend time singing with nature's wind-song.
Usual recreational camera equipment:
Nikon D300
Nikon 24-120mm f3.5-5.6D
Nikon 70-300mm f4-5.6D
