I am a physician who gradually found his way into public health, health economics, and public policy. I enjoy reading and writing, and I often prefer to observe life from a slight distance—although my professional work has usually drawn me deeply into the lives of others. That, however, is another story.

This photo stream began in 2007, shortly after my father passed away. A few months later, God blessed me with a beautiful daughter. In that space between loss and grace, photography became my way of holding on to life, memory, and meaning.

What you will find here is a long-running personal visual archive: people, places, landscapes, and moments from across Pakistan and around the world. It moves between history and everyday life, public figures and ordinary people, architecture, travel, and nature—sometimes carefully composed, sometimes quietly spontaneous. Together, these photographs are less about spectacle than about lived experience, preserved with affection, curiosity, and respect.

I have never thought of photography as merely recording what I see. Rather, it is my way of preserving what might otherwise be forgotten. If, before I leave this world, I could echo—even in the smallest measure—the sentiment of Boris Pasternak, and make others weep at the beauty of my homeland through these images, I would consider that a privilege. It is, admittedly, an ambitious hope.

Comments and thoughtful discussions are always welcome. This space is intended to celebrate people, places, history, and shared experiences. Please refrain from posting defamatory remarks or making allegations against any individual, living or deceased. Let us live and let live.

To begin exploring, simply click on Albums and browse whichever of the nearly 600 collections catches your interest. If you enjoy what you see, I would be grateful if you would follow the stream, add photographs to your favorites, leave a comment, or write a testimonial. Your encouragement helps keep this archive alive.

Pictorial history by Kazi sahib is a great service for posterity. Most of the photos from era lost to the mists of time, especially from Pakistan, remind of the peaceful and simpler times this country passed through. Ab tau kehat ur rijal hai.
