"Art is just showing people something they’ve seen before."

I tend to look for the details in a scene that people can easily walk past without a second glance. Photography is just an excuse to wander around looking at things.

Things are interesting to look at.

"The world is already made of art - all we have to do is frame it."

Gear doesn't make good photos, but having the right gear can make a big difference. I currently mostly use:

Sony Alpha 7iii: A wonderful combination of image quality and fairly small size. Works great with old manual lenses, and Leica M-mount lenses make for a very compact kit. I'm mostly using autofocus lenses again now, because I went too long without taking photos, and got out of the habit of manually focussing well.

Sony/Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 lens. Quite compact, very nice. Takes pretty good 'normal' shots, but still has just a little bit of character.

Sony 28-60mm zoom, the kit zoom that comes with the A7C series. Very small and light, quite versatile. Not a very big zoom range, and pretty small max aperture, but very sharp, and makes the kit so much smaller that I often find it worth the compromises.
