Pierre Alivon, photographe et artiste, vit à Paris.

Grand voyageur, il a réalisé de nombreux reportages LifeStyle qui donnent une vision personnelle de la beauté, la poésie et la complexité de la condition humaine à travers le monde.

Très attaché à la compréhension du monde qui l’entoure et à ses racines , il a acquis de nombreux clichés originaux de Paris datant des années 1900 qu’il associe à ses propres photographies. Cette série « Souvenirs du Présent », a été publiée partiellement par Thames & Hudson fin 2013 (The New collectible Art Photography, Susan A. Zadeh). Il a prolongé ce travail avec la série « Lecture du Nu » qui revisite des photographies érotiques des années 1900. Il poursuit actuellement un travail sur une vision contemporaine de Marilyn Monroe en lien avec des photographies de Milton Greene.

Pierre Alivon is a French artist based in Paris whose projects are internationally oriented. Alivon’s latest project Memories of the present is a poetic link between the Paris of the Belle Epoque and the world today. It is an unlikely encounter between his photographs and those of a fashion photographer in 1900. Following to the series Memories of the Present a new body of work was created with as title, Playing Naked, which recalls the erotic photographs of 1900 with the today’s fashion by including the art of tattoo.Always keeping in focus the perspectives of time and culture, his creations make us question our perceptions of modern life. Pierre Alivon has become known for the emotional quality of his work - whether he's photographing people or places, the message is always touching. Some of the ways Pierre Alivon uses to express these questions is by deconstructing and re-constructing images, thereby changing our notions of what is. Always exploring, searching and creating, most recently he has been focusing on HD photography.
